Job summary

Power Protect in Penrith, NSW, is offering a 2027 Apprenticeship Program for an Apprentice Electrical Technician. This on-site, full-time opportunity supports hands-on maintenance, installation, testing and fault-finding across electrical systems while training toward an electrical trade qualification.

Ideal candidates will have an interest in electrical work, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work afterhours and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have HSC or higher
• White Card (GCIT) or ability to obtain before starting
• A genuine interest in electrical work and developing a career in the trade
• Basic computer skills and a practical approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, servicing and maintenance of UPS, generators control circuits and associated electrical equipment
• Assist experienced technicians with fault finding and repairs under supervision
• Learn to recognise hazards and implement control for a safe working environment
• Learn to use electrical test equipment and digital service tools
• Assist with work records, timesheets and basic quotations or estimates
• Support facility maintenance activities as required
• Develop practical skills while following safe work practices
• Build positive relationships with clients, team members, subcontractors and suppliers
• Participate in apprentice training and complete learning and development requirements towards your trade qualification
