Job summary

EM Electrical Group is expanding and seeks motivated Electrical Apprentices across Solar, Battery, Industrial and Commercial projects in Sydney. You will gain hands-on exposure to a broad range of electrical work while developing into a skilled tradesperson.

You will learn directly from our founder and senior electricians, with strong emphasis on safety, workmanship and career growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship or traineeship.
• Exposure to solar, commercial or industrial electrical work is preferred.
• Commitment to learning, safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical tasks.
• Support solar PV installations and battery storage work.
• Learn fault finding, testing and commissioning under supervision.
• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work sites.
• Work alongside experienced electricians and supervisors.

About the Role

EM Electrical Group is growing, and we’re looking for motivated Electrical Apprentices who want exposure to a broad range of electrical work and the opportunity to develop into highly capable tradespeople.

As an Electrical Apprentice with EM Electrical Group, you’ll gain hands-on experience across:

• Residential, commercial and industrial electrical work
• Solar PV installations and upgrades
• Battery energy storage systems
• EV charger installations
• Fault finding, testing and commissioning
• Electrical maintenance and installation work
• On-site learning alongside experienced electricians and supervisors

You’ll also receive hands-on, in-house training directly from our founder, Joshua, with a strong emphasis on learning the trade properly — working safely, maintaining a clean and professional site, understanding why things are done a certain way, and producing work you can be proud of.

This role is ideal for an apprentice who wants more than repetitive work and is motivated to develop a broad electrical skill set while growing within a supportive team.

• Is currently completing an Electrical Apprenticeship
• Has exposure to solar, commercial and/or industrial electrical work
• Has a strong work ethic and genuine willingness to learn
• Takes pride in workmanship and attention to detail

• Can also take responsibility and work independently when appropriate
• Is physically fit and comfortable performing practical, hands-on work
• Is comfortable working at heights
• Is capable of safely lifting and handling solar panels

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A current Australian Driver Licence
• Their own reliable vehicle
• A current Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
• A current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
• The physical ability to undertake electrical and solar installation work
• The ability and willingness to work safely at heights
