Job summary

Australia Post in Melbourne is seeking a Delivery Rider to start early and join a supportive delivery team. You will prepare mail and small parcels, load your vehicle and complete reliable doorstep deliveries to homes and businesses, with safety and consistency guiding every step.

You’ll be mentored by Rider Mentors and have clear development pathways into senior delivery or frontline leadership. Permanent full‑time, Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with occasional extra hours.

Qualifications

• Comfortable meeting licensing and practical assessment requirements (training provided).
• Flexible to support additional hours when needed.
• Detail‑focused and reliable, handling mail and parcels up to 16kg.
• Able to meet safety requirements, including the role’s safe working load limit (115kgs or less).
• Keen to learn and progress, with development pathways into senior delivery or frontline leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mail and small parcels at the facility, then load deliveries and complete reliable deliveries to homes and businesses.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and ensure safety and consistency in every delivery.
• Work with Rider Mentors who provide hands‑on guidance to support development and long‑term success.
