Job summary

Caulfield Grammar School – Wheelers Hill VIC is seeking a dedicated Co-Educator for a January 2027 start. This part-time role runs two days a week (Thursday and Friday) for 12 months, term-time only. You will collaborate with teachers and co-educators to develop child-centred learning programs.

Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous, with a Diploma of Early Childhood and Care required. Experience with 3–5 year olds, First Aid Level 2, Anaphylaxis, Asthma training, and WWCC are expected.

Qualifications

• Mandarin proficiency is highly advantageous.
• Diploma of Early Childhood and Care is required.
• Experience with three-, four- and five-year-olds is essential.
• Current First Aid Certificate Level 2, Anaphylaxis Certificate, and Asthma training.
• National Child Safety Training – Modules 1–4.
• Employment Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement teaching activities based on child development to enhance learning.
• Contribute to a stimulating education program reflecting current research and best practices in early childhood.
• Support the ELC teacher in managing student behaviour and centre organisation.
• Contribute to developmental records for each student under supervision.
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Co-Educator to join our team at the Wheelers Hill Campus commencing January 2027 on a part time (two days a week – Thursday and Friday), 12 month fixed term, required during term time only.

As a valued member of our team, you will report to the Head of Early Learning Centres and actively collaborate with our teachers and co-educators. Together, you will focus on creating and implementing a child-centric learning program in an environment that promotes students' growth, development, and overall well-being, tailored to their unique requirements.

The successful candidate will provide crucial support. Proficiency in Mandarin will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of teaching activities and strategies based on knowledge of student’s physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning
• Actively contribute ideas resulting in implementation of a stimulating educational program for students that reflect current research and best practice models in early childhood
• Support the ELC teacher in all aspects of the management of student behaviour, and organisation of the centre
• Contribute to the developmental records for each individual student, both written and verbal, under the guidance of the teacher
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviour
