Caulfield Grammar School is seeking dedicated Early Learning Centre Teachers for a full-time ongoing role at the Malvern Campus. You will develop and deliver child-centred programs, support individual growth and wellbeing, and work closely with the ELC team to foster a positive learning environment.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, experience with young children, and registration with VIT. Mandarin is a desirable extra skill.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Early Childhood education or equivalent approved by ACECQA.
• Current VIT teacher registration.
• First Aid Level 2 and related training or willingness to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Design and deliver child-centred learning programs aligned with student development and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with Early Learning Centre team to manage student behaviour and centre organisation.
• Develop developmental records for each student, both written and verbal.
• Integrate ICT into teaching to enhance content relevance and engagement.
• Contribute to the school culture and Caulfield Grammar values in daily practice.

The Role

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Early Learning Centre Teachers for a full-time permanent ongoing and a 12-month fixed-term position at our Malvern Campus, reporting to the Head of the Early Learning Centres and working closely with teachers and co-educators to develop and deliver child-centred learning programs that support each student's individual needs, growth, development and wellbeing.

Key Duties:

• Support the design and implementation of teaching activities and strategies based on knowledge of student's physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning
• Actively contribute ideas resulting in implementation of a stimulating educational program for students that reflect current research and best practice models in early childhood
• Use effective teaching strategies to integrate ICT into learning and teaching programs to make selected content relevant and meaningful
• Work with the Early Learning Centre team in all aspects of the management of student behaviour, and organisation of the centre
• Contribute to the developmental records for each individual student, both written and verbal
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours

Skills and Experience:

• Significant experience teaching young children with strong interpersonal skills to inspire children
• Exposure to the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme would be advantageous.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development
• Ability to integrate Learning Technologies into the curriculum
• An ability to speak Mandarin would be desirable
• Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or the equivalent as approved by ACECQA
• Hold a current VIT registration
• A current First Aid Certificate Level 2, Anaphylaxis training, Asthma training or willingness to obtain these
