Job summary

McArthur is seeking an experienced EL1 Program Reporting Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with a Federal Government agency in Canberra.

This role will support a major transformation program, providing high-quality program reporting, performance insights and governance information across multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in program reporting, PMO reporting or portfolio reporting within large and complex government programs
• Strong experience developing executive-level dashboards and governance reporting
• Experience supporting senior executive and governance forums
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex program information
• Advanced skills across Microsoft Excel, Power BI, DevOps and Microsoft Office
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across multiple workstreams

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining integrated program reporting frameworks and standards
• Producing executive dashboards, performance reports and scorecards
• Coordinating reporting inputs across multiple program workstreams
• Monitoring milestones, schedules, risks, issues and dependencies
• Analysing complex delivery information and identifying emerging trends or concerns
• Preparing executive briefings, presentations and governance reporting
• Supporting senior governance forums, assurance activities and program reviews
• Improving reporting processes, automation and data visualisation
• Engaging with senior stakeholders across business, program and delivery teams

Job description

McArthur is seeking an experienced EL1 Program Reporting Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with a Federal Government agency in Canberra.

This role will support a major transformation program, providing high-quality program reporting, performance insights and governance information across multiple workstreams.

The opportunity

• $75-$85 per hour + super
• Canberra based
• 40 hours per week
• Contract through to 30 June 2027
• Potential for 2 x 6-month extensions

The role

Working closely with program leadership, the PMO and delivery teams, you will provide clear and accurate visibility of program performance, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining integrated program reporting frameworks and standards
• Producing executive dashboards, performance reports and scorecards
• Coordinating reporting inputs across multiple program workstreams
• Monitoring milestones, schedules, risks, issues and dependencies
• Analysing complex delivery information and identifying emerging trends or concerns
• Preparing executive briefings, presentations and governance reporting
• Supporting senior governance forums, assurance activities and program reviews
• Improving reporting processes, automation and data visualisation
• Engaging with senior stakeholders across business, program and delivery teams

About you

You will bring 5+ years' experience in program reporting, PMO reporting or portfolio reporting within large and complex government programs.

You will also have:

• Strong experience developing executive-level dashboards and governance reporting
• Experience supporting senior executive and governance forums
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex program information
• Experience within highly regulated government environments
• Advanced skills across Microsoft Excel, Power BI, DevOps and Microsoft Office
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across multiple workstreams

Experience supporting large-scale transformation, reform or regulatory change programs will be highly regarded. Exposure to Agile, SAFe or hybrid delivery environments and relevant project/program management qualifications would also be advantageous.

• Be willing to undertake a National Police Check
• Be available to work 40 hours per week in Canberra
