Job summary

Softtest Pays Pty is seeking a data professional to support data warehousing and analytics projects. The role emphasizes SQL, data modelling, and cross-warehouse programming across Snowflake, Teradata and Databricks.

Ideal candidates will show DevOps awareness, proficiency in version control, and the ability to read and interpret data specifications. Australian citizens with Baseline Clearance eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to develop, audit and review code in two of MS SQL, Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks.
• High level programming ability with Python, SAS, R or Java.
• Strong SQL expertise, including reverse-engineering end-user SQL code.
• Ability to read and interpret data models and specifications.
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools.

• High level of competency in Programming, including knowledge of supplementary programming languages such as Python, SAS, R or Java.
• Strong expertise with SQL, including experience with reverse-engineering end user SQL code.
• Ability to read and interpret data models and specifications.
• Ability to understand DevOps process and can use DevOps tools in accordance with the process.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of version controls and its appropriate uses.

Desirable criteria

• Minimum of 4 years in a similar role
• Exposure to AWS Cloud, AWS S3, AWS Glue or similar tools within the cloud environment.
• Competency with required systems, software and programs, including SAS and Excel.
• Demonstrated experience data modelling using metadata/model driven frameworks.
• Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistical, computer sciences discipline or more than three years relevant work experience.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
