Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Occupational Health & Safety, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of EHSS experience or related field.
• Experience with EHSS regulations, sustainability programs, or environmental reporting.
• Experience supporting administrative, operational, or service delivery activities in a corporate environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day delivery of EHS and sustainability services across assigned facilities, ensuring alignment with company standards and policies.
• Complete and submit EH&S regulatory applications, permits, and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead EHSS compliance activities such as documentation, reporting, audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
• Coordinate facilities, equipment, and operations inspections to identify and evaluate risk factors and eliminate potential hazards and/or hazardous processes.
• Maintain accurate records, dashboards, and records related to facilities operations, sustainability metrics, and EHSS programs.
• Partner with internal stakeholders (Facilities, EH&S, Sustainability, and Corporate Operations teams) to support initiatives and resolve operational issues.
• Support sustainability and environmental programs, including waste, energy, and resource management activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This role supports the delivery of environmental, health & safety (EH&S) and sustainability programs across DePuy Synthes sites in Australia and New Zealand, with a strong focus on office, facilities, and corporate operations environments. The Office/Delivery Specialist partners with local and regional stakeholders to help implement sustainability initiatives, track EH&S performance, and ensure alignment with corporate standards and local regulations. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to safe workplaces, responsible operations, and sustainability outcomes, supporting DePuy Synthes’ commitment to patients, employees, communities, and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day delivery of EHS and sustainability services across assigned facilities, ensuring alignment with company standards and policies.
• Complete and submit Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulatory agency applications, permits, and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Occupational Health & Safety, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant EHSS experience or related field.
• Experience with EHSS regulations, sustainability programs, or environmental reporting.
• Experience supporting administrative, operational, or service delivery activities in a corporate environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to follow established procedures, policies, and compliance requirements.

Desirable

• Additional coursework or certification in EH&S or sustainability
• Experience working in facilities management, EH&S, sustainability, or corporate operations environments.
• Experience coordinating with vendors or service providers.
• Experience leading audits, inspections, or compliance‑related activities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
• Familiarity with environmental or workplace safety regulations in Australia and/or New Zealand.
