Job description

Are you a hands-on safety professional who enjoys being out on the floor, solving problems and working with people to create safer workplaces?

Proudly Australian, Inline Innovations, established in 2005, stands as a beacon of quality and innovation in contract manufacturing. Catering to Australian and International brands in Healthcare, Beauty, and Veterinary sectors, we uphold the Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and are licensed under the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

We’re looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to support our manufacturing operations, strengthen WHS compliance and help build a proactive safety culture across our sites.

This is a practical, operational role where you’ll work closely with the EHS Manager, operational leaders and frontline employees to identify risks, investigate incidents, improve safety systems and ensure everyone has the knowledge and tools to work safely.

About the Role

Reporting to the EHS Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of workplace health and safety across our operations.

You’ll balance compliance and administration with a strong on-the-ground presence, ensuring safety procedures are followed, risks are managed and corrective actions are completed.

Key Responsibilities
  • WHS Compliance: Support compliance with Queensland WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, relevant Australian Standards and internal safety requirements.
  • Risk Management: Conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards, complete risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are implemented and maintained.
  • Incident Investigations: Lead or support investigations into incidents, injuries, near misses and hazards, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.
  • Safety Systems: Maintain and improve risk assessments, Safe Work Procedures, SWMS, JSAs, safety registers, SDS documentation and other WHS records.
  • Safety Culture: Maintain a visible presence across operational areas, deliver toolbox talks and engage employees and leaders in safety improvement initiatives.
  • Training and Inductions: Coordinate safety training, monitor refresher requirements, support onboarding and conduct respiratory fit testing and drug and alcohol testing as required.
  • Permits and High-Risk Activities: Support permit-to-work processes and the safe management of hazardous areas, gas monitoring equipment and other operational risks.
  • Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Analyse safety data, identify recurring issues and trends, prepare reports and work with the EHS Manager and operational leaders to reduce risk.
  • Equipment and PPE: Monitor PPE requirements, maintain calibration records and proactively follow up on equipment servicing and compliance requirements.
About You

You’re a proactive and approachable safety professional who understands that effective safety is about more than policies and procedures. You know how to build relationships, influence behaviour and work alongside operational teams to achieve practical outcomes.

You’re confident having difficult conversations when required, but equally comfortable coaching, educating and supporting people to make safer decisions.

To be successful, you will bring:
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a WHS, OHS or Safety Advisor role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG.
  • Sound knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Practical experience in workplace inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action management.
  • Experience delivering toolbox talks, coordinating safety training and supporting employee inductions.
  • Knowledge of permit-to-work processes, hazardous areas and gas monitoring requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong documentation, reporting and record-keeping skills.
  • A current driver's licence and the ability to travel between sites as required.
Why Join Us?

Join a business that values integrity, innovation, caring, quality, passion and growth.

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with operational teams, influence how safety is delivered on the ground and contribute to meaningful improvements across our manufacturing operations.

We believe in developing our people, continuously improving how we work and creating an environment where everyone takes responsibility for safety.

We also offer:
  • Wage paid on a weekly basis
  • Birthday Bonus; Paid day off
  • Friendly, collaborative team culture
  • Flexible Work Options like a 4 day working week (After Probation)
