Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is seeking energetic Educators to join our Windsor Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis, helping provide a safe, inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during holidays.

You will supervise activities, run hands-on sessions and support children's wellbeing and confidence through play. Qualifications in Children’s Services and First Aid are required or in progress, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Hold or currently studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Demonstrated energy, creativity and responsibility in caring for children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe and inspired.
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence and friendships through play.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Windsor Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.
