Job summary

The Y Australia is recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join the Warrigal Road Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis in Brisbane. You’ll support before/after school sessions and Vacation Care with a focus on safety, inclusion and fun.

Ideal candidates will hold or be studying Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services and have First Aid/CPR and Blue Card or be willing to obtain. This not-for-profit offers development and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions
• Run or assist with a variety of hands‑on activities during Vacation Care
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Warrigal Road Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.
