Job summary

Uniting Vic.Tas is seeking a Casual OSHC Educator to help create safe, engaging and inclusive experiences for children before school, after school and during vacation care across West Ulverstone and East Devonport.

You'll join a welcoming, values-led team committed to children's safety, wellbeing and belonging, with opportunities to support homework, run activities and share in everyday moments with families and communities.

Casual shifts across flexible rosters and a 25% casual loading apply.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children and wellbeing
• Good communication and positive attitude
• Experience with children is desirable but not essential
• Current WWVP registration or ability to obtain before start
• Current national/state child safety training or ability to obtain before commencement

Your new role

As a Casual Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator, you'll help create safe, engaging and inclusive experiences where children can play, learn and thrive before school, after school and during vacation care. Every day is different, with opportunities to build meaningful relationships with children, support their wellbeing, and encourage curiosity, creativity and fun.

You’ll be part of our welcoming teams across West Ulverstone and East Devonport, working alongside passionate educators who are committed to creating environments where every child feels a sense of belonging. Whether you're supporting homework, facilitating exciting activities or simply sharing in children's everyday moments, you'll play an important role in creating positive experiences for children and supporting local families.

Your Skills And Experience

You’ll be right at home at Uniting if you're passionate about providing high-quality early learning experiences and share our belief that children's safety, wellbeing and development should always come first.

You’ll Bring With You

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their wellbeing.
• Great communication skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with children is desirable, but not essential.
• A qualification in education and care (or equiv) is highly regarded but not required for this role.
• A current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania), or the ability to obtain one before you start.
• Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based Child Safety Training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
