Job summary

Uniting is seeking a Diploma Lead Educator to oversee the OSHC program at St Mary’s Uniting After School Care in Rushworth. You will coordinate daily activities, support children’s wellbeing and collaborate with families and the school, while guiding a small team of educators.

The role suits someone seeking reduced hours, or studying, with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and experience with school-aged children. Flexible, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent as approved).
• Experience working with school-aged children (OSHC, childcare, education or recreation).
• Confidence coordinating programs and supporting other educators.
• First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Employee Working with Children Check.

Your new role

Our OSHC service at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is new with a dedicated space and strong connection to the local school. We’re looking for a Service Leader to continue building the program leading a small service in a supportive, community-focused setting.

You’ll coordinate the day-to-day program, planning engaging activities, supporting children’s wellbeing, building relationships with families and the school, and guiding a small team of educators.

Working Hours

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 2:30pm to 6:00pm
• Plus, allocated non-contact time for administration tasks (3 hours a fortnight)
• Ideal for educators seeking part-time hours that fit around study, family or other commitments.

As a Diploma Lead Educator at our St Mary’s Uniting After School Care program, you’ll be an important part of a team providing high-quality early childhood education and care. You’ll:

• Build strong, positive relationships with children
• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing
• Partner with families and the local community
• Help deliver engaging educational programs based on approved learning frameworks
• Support continuous improvement across the service.

Our programs are guided by Australia's approved learning frameworks:

• Belonging, Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• My Time, Our Place: Framework for School Age Care.
