Job summary

Uniting Limited in Shepparton is seeking Diploma Educators for our OSHC program. This casual, flexible role offers Monday to Friday hours (mornings and afternoons) with a base rate of AU$36.57 per hour plus super and a 25% casual loading.

As part of our OSHC team, you will support before/after school and vacation care, deliver nurturing care, and create inclusive, engaging experiences for school‑aged children. Training is provided by our nominated supervisor and team.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) per ACEQA approval.
• Experience with school-aged children (OSHC, childcare, education or recreation).
• Ability to coordinate programs and support other educators.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training or willingness to obtain.
• Current Employee Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing care in OSHC programs (before/after school and vacation care).
• Create safe, welcoming environments and inclusive recreational/educational experiences.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality learning outcomes.

  Whether you are an experienced Early Childhood Educator seeking flexibility with your hours or just getting started, we can support you and provide on-the-job training from our nominated supervisor and the team.

  As a before school care, after school care and vacation care hours or casual educator at our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program, you will be part of a growing team of educators who deliver after-school programs that provide high-quality education and care to school-aged children and support the wider community. You will provide nurturing care, ensure a safe and welcoming environment and create recreational and education experiences that are inclusive for all to enjoy.

  You will build positive relationships with your team and work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for our children and families. Our educators feel excited to come to work, knowing the difference they make to a child’s development.

  Your skills and experience

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority).
  • Experience working with school-aged children (OSHC, childcare, education or recreation)
  • Confidence coordinating programs and supporting other educators
  • First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check
