Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is seeking energetic Educators to join our Outside School Hours Care team in Brisbane on a casual basis. You’ll supervise before and after school care and vacation programs, creating a safe, inclusive environment where children can explore and learn through play.

If you hold or are studying Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, bring energy and creativity, a current First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain), and a Paid Blue Card.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar.
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity.
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain) or willingness to obtain a Paid Blue Card.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Loganholme Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.

We’re a not-for-profit organisation with a strong community focus. We’ve recently been awarded government funding through the ECEC Worker Retention Grant that increases your take home pay and we are investing in the training, support and professional development of our Educators.
