Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is seeking energetic Educators to join the Hilder Road Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis. You’ll supervise and engage primary-aged children before school, after school and during Vacation Care, fostering safe, fun, inclusive environments.

A Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services is preferred, along with current First Aid, CPR, a paid Blue Card, and a commitment to children's wellbeing. The role offers flexible hours in a community not-for-profit setting.

Qualifications

• Hold or be studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Valid Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with Vacation Care activities.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive space where children feel safe and inspired.
• Promote wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children's wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Hilder Road Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you'll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you'll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.

We're a not-for-profit organisation with a strong community focus. We've recently been awarded government funding through the ECEC Worker Retention Grant that increases your take home pay and we are investing in the training, support and professional development of our Educators.

What you'll do
