Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is seeking energetic Educators to join the Peak Crossing Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis. You will supervise and engage primary-aged children before school, after school and during holidays, delivering a mix of structured and play-based activities in a safe, inclusive environment.

You’ll work to promote wellbeing, confidence and friendships through play, with opportunities for training, support and career progression within a not-for-profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar.
• Current First Aid and CPR is required or willingness to obtain.
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before and After School sessions.
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe and inspired to grow.
• Promote children's wellbeing, confidence and friendships through play.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Peak Crossing Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.

We’re a not-for-profit organisation with a strong community focus. We’ve recently been awarded government funding through the ECEC Worker Retention Grant that increases your take home pay and we are investing in the training, support and professional development of our Educators.
