Job summary

Childcare & Kindergarten Gumdale Community Kindergarten is hiring an Educator for the Extended Hours Program. You will partner with the Extended Kindergarten Coordinator to nurture children’s growth and curiosity beyond the core day.

The role offers permanent part-time hours, holidays coverage, and a $1000 retention bonus paid twice yearly, with benefits including training subsidies and reasonable career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards this qualification.
• Completion of National Child Safety Training – Foundation and Advanced Certificate (Courses 1 to 5).
• First Aid/CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification (funded by employer).

Responsibilities

Our Extended Hours Program seamlessly continues children’s learning beyond the kindergarten day. As a valued Educator at C&K Gumdale, you’ll partner with the Extended Kindergarten Coordinator to nurture children’s growth, helping them become curious, capable and confident lifelong learners.

• Permanent part-time | Monday – Friday 1.50pm-6:15pm

To thrive and succeed in this role, you will either have or be willing to work towards:

• A minimum of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards this qualification.
• Completion of the National Child Safety Training – Foundation and Advanced Certificate (Courses 1 to 5)
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification (we will fund this).
• Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
• A Police Check current within three months (or willingness to obtain one).
