Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare’s OSHC service at St Francis Xavier is hiring an OSHC Educator to join a dedicated team. You’ll contribute to a play-based program that supports learning, wellbeing and development while building strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.

We value a safe, inclusive environment and flexible work opportunities across CEEC’s 130+ services, with a focus on quality care and leadership in school-aged care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) desirable.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Willingness to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training (Gecko Learning).
• Experience with school-aged children in OSHC, education, recreation or care settings is highly regarded.

Located on the grounds of St Francis Xavier, our OSHC service is closely connected to the school community. We provide Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care for up to 90 children, offering a safe, engaging and welcoming environment where children can learn, play and thrive.

Our dedicated team delivers a play-based, child-led program that encourages children to explore their interests, strengths and creativity. We value children's voices and work alongside them to create meaningful experiences that reflect their ideas and passions.

Job Requirements

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) would be desirable.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Current completion of, or willingness to complete, mandatory National Child Safety Training (Gecko Learning).
• A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment.
• Experience working with school-aged children in an OSHC, education, recreation, or care setting, not essential but highly regarded.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues.
