Job summary

The YMCA Churchill Outside School Hours Care team is seeking energetic Educators to join on a casual basis. You’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during holidays, with a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities.

If you are studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services, have energy and creativity, and hold or will obtain First Aid and a Blue Card, you’ll fit right in.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services.
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive environment.
• Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain.
• Valid Paid Blue Card, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with Vacation Care activities.
• Create welcoming, inclusive space for all children.
• Support wellbeing, confidence and friendships through play.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Churchill Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
