Job summary

The YMCA Brisbane is recruiting casual Educators for the Boondall Outside School Hours Care team. You’ll support before/after school and holiday programs, fostering a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services.
• First Aid and CPR certificate (current or willing to obtain).
• Paid BLUE Card or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with activities during Vacation Care.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive space where all children feel safe and inspired.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Boondall Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children’s social learning and creativity.

We’re a not-for-profit organisation with a strong community focus. We’ve recently been awarded government funding through the ECEC Worker Retention Grant that increases your take home pay and we are investing in the training, support and professional development of our Educators.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
