Job summary

Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane – Ashgrove QLD is seeking casual OSHC Educators to join St Finbarr's OSHC in Ashgrove. The role supports before/after school and vacation care with a play-based approach and a focus on inclusivity.

No formal qualification is required, though a Child Services qualification is highly regarded. Queensland Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, and child-protection training are preferred. Enjoy flexible casual shifts and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• No formal qualification required for the role, but a qualification in Children’s Services or Early Childhood Education and Care is highly regarded.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection courses – Course 1 to 4 are relevant
• Passion for education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place is desirable
• Effective workplace communication skills

At St Finbarr's OSHC in Ashgrove, we provide before school care, after school care, and vacation care. Our programs are designed to cater to each child's unique age, interests, skills, and abilities. With a flexible, child-initiated approach, we encourage free play and provide a variety of experiences, both indoors and outdoors, as well as individual and group activities.

We're looking for enthusiastic and caring casual Educators to join our supportive team. No formal qualification is required for this role, however a qualification in Children's Services or Early Childhood Education and Care is highly regarded, and those currently working towards one are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements:

• A qualification in Children's Services or Early Childhood Education and Care (Certificate III, Diploma, or ACECQA equivalent) is highly regarded but not essential
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 - Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• A passion for the education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place is desirable
• Effective workplace communication skills
