Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council invites Diploma or Certificate III qualified educators to join the Rockhampton City Child Care Centre. Deliver high-quality, play-based programs, plan, implement and evaluate activities in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard, and support the Group Leader.

You'll work Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week with flexible hours for casuals, and enjoy a supportive team with career development opportunities, plus a 12% employer

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care with CHCPRT025.
• Blue Card and First Aid/ CPR certificates required.

• Pro Rata amount of $68,816 - $71,759 per annum ($34,82 - $36,31 / hour) (Level CSW 1 Yr Qualified Year 1-3) (Junior rates may apply) + Superannuation

Your new role

Rockhampton City Child Care Centre are seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our team in delivering high quality, flexible, and responsive care for children in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

In these roles, you will support the Group Leader in planning, implementing, and evaluating engaging, play based programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard. You'll focus on meeting each child's developmental and routine needs while fostering safe, stimulating, and caring environment.

As part of a collaborative and qualified team, you'll contribute to a culture ofcontinuousimprovement, reflective practice, and strong partnership with families. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape the early learning experiences of children and support their growth into confident, curious, and capable young learners.

Future Opportunities: with ongoing operational requirements at the Centre, further opportunities are expected to arise, which may support continued employment beyond the initial contract period for the Fixed Term role. Diploma qualified educators may also have the opportunity to act in Lead Educator roles, supporting career development and leadership experience.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (including - CHCPRT025 - Identify and report children and young people at risk), Blue Card, Current First Aid & CPR certificate and proven experience working in a childcare setting or similar.
