Job summary

YMCA Queensland is seeking an Educational Leader to join the Springfield Lakes Outside School Hours Care team on a permanent part-time basis. You will help shape engaging programs that support children's learning and development outside of school hours, guiding and supporting educators.

You’ll cultivate a child-centred, inclusive environment, champion reflective practice, and collaborate with families and schools to build a strong community network.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services (desirable).
• Minimum three years’ experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning.
• Knowledge of leadership styles and reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Drive the creation, delivery, and ongoing improvement of inspiring educational programs for children.
• Guide, motivate, and empower educators to excel in their roles.
• Champion child-centred, play-based learning aligned with current frameworks.
• Build a positive, inclusive, collaborative team culture.
• Lead by example and promote reflective teaching practices.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to support each child.
