Job summary

St Thomas More OSHC in Sunshine Beach is seeking a passionate Educational Leader to help shape a safe, engaging program for school-aged children.

You will lead programming aligned with My Time, Our Place, mentor staff, support families and take on the Responsible Person role when required; this permanent part-time role starts with a minimum of 15 hours per week. Join a supportive Catholic Early EdCare team on the grounds of St Thomas More Catholic Primary School.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Knowledge of My Time, Our Place Framework and NQS requirements.
• OSHC experience and ability to reflect on practice.
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to step into the Responsible Person role when required.
• Completion of Child Safety Courses 1 & 2 (mandatory); 3 & 4 highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the development and implementation of a high-quality educational program.
• Inspire educators to create engaging, child-led learning experiences.
• Support the team to provide a safe, nurturing environment for every child.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and team members.
• Observe, reflect on and contribute to continuous improvement across the service.
• Assist with programming, documentation, planning and reflective practice.
• Promote children's agency, wellbeing, inclusion and participation.
• Collaborate with the Service Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator to achieve positive outcomes.
• Step into the Responsible Person role when required.
• Participate in excursions and vacation care activities.
• Contribute to a positive team culture where staff feel supported and valued.
