Catholic Early EdCare – Sunshine Beach QLD is seeking an Educational Leader to join St Thomas More Outside School Hours Care. The role is permanent part-time (minimum 15 hours/week) with potential extra shifts.

You will lead and support a high-quality, inclusive educational program aligned with My Time, Our Place, inspire educators and foster a safe, caring environment for school-aged children. Required qualifications include a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Queensland Blue Card,

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Current Childcare First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Knowledge of the My Time, Our Place Framework, NQS and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in OSHC or similar children's services environment.
• Strong understanding of quality educational programming and reflective practice.
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• Passion for supporting school-aged children to learn and thrive.
• Willingness to step into the Responsible Person role when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support development and implementation of a high-quality educational program aligned with My Time, Our Place.
• Inspire educators to create engaging, child-led learning experiences.
• Support a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and team members.
• Observe, reflect on and contribute to continuous service improvement.
• Assist with programming, documentation, planning and reflective practice.
• Promote children's agency, wellbeing, inclusion and participation.
• Collaborate with the Service Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator to achieve positive outcomes.
• Step into the RP role when required during absences.
• Participate in excursions and vacation care experiences.
• Contribute to a positive team culture where staff feel supported.
