Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking an Educational Content Developer (Learning Design) to shape culturally responsive career development resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

You will collaborate with Indigenous communities, students and UQ staff to embed Indigenous knowledges and pedagogies, delivering inclusive learning experiences that support employability and student success.

As the Educational Content Developer (Learning Design), you'll collaborate with Indigenous communities, students and UQ stakeholders to reimagine and elevate career development programs. resources and initiatives that embed Indigenous perspectives and ways of knowing, being and doing.

Key Responsibilities Will include:

Develop engaging educational content, learning resources and digital materials that support student employability and career development.

Collaborate with academic staff, professional teams and Indigenous stakeholders to create inclusive and culturally responsive learning experiences.

Embed Indigenous perspectives, knowledges and pedagogies into career development initiatives and educational resources.

Provide advice and guidance on culturally responsive approaches to learning, student engagement and employability.

Evaluate programs and resources, using feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement and enhance student outcomes.

The University of Queensland considers that to perform this role, it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld). The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence confirming that they are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.

You will also bring:

Completion of an undergraduate degree, with three to four years’ experience in a relevant area or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Experience developing digital educational content, learning resources, programs or initiatives that support diverse learners.

Demonstrated ability to embed Indigenous perspectives, knowledges and culturally responsive practices in educational, community or engagement settings.

Experience working with educational technologies and digital learning platforms such as Learning Management Systems and online content tools.

Strong communication andrelationship-buildingskills, with the ability to work collaboratively with and influence a wide range of stakeholders across diverse teams.

The ability to manage competing priorities, projects, analyse data and information and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

An understanding of higher education and student employability initiatives (desirable).
