Job summary

Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School in Melbourne invites applications from qualified Education Support Officers to join a team dedicated to supporting learning and development. The successful applicant will assist students with individual and small group support under a teacher's direction, inside and outside the classroom.

The role is 27.5 hours over 5 days (8.30am–3.00pm). Applicants must have Working With Children and Police Checks; Certificate IV in Education Support is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Working With Children Check
• Current Police Check
• Certificate IV in Education Support preferred
• Experience with students with ASD and anxiety

Responsibilities

• Support student learning under the direction of a teacher with individual and small groups both within and outside the classroom.
• Assist with educational and development programs and participate in yard duty.
• Demonstrate effective communication and organisational skills and use initiative in the classroom.
• Contribute to the school community and involvement in extra-curricular activities.
