Job summary

UNSW Canberra is seeking a Manager Education Support to lead the Learning and Teaching Group, delivering educational development, design, innovation, insights, and wellness services. The role supervises up to 15 staff and reports to the Head of Student Life and Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will drive strategic initiatives, manage relationships with stakeholders, and ensure delivery of high-quality education support aligned with a Group of Eight

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
• High level leadership, influencing and negotiation skills and proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
• Significant experience in developing, delivering and continually improving processes and systems, including project management and change management processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Learning and Teaching Group, building a safe and supportive culture and promoting improvement, innovation and exploration to drive educational quality and student experience.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure staff are knowledgeable and possess appropriate capabilities to deliver Faculty educational expectations and support in line with a Group of Eight university.
• Undertake analysis and prepare reports, presentations, business cases and other documents to provide high-level advice and evidence-based recommendations on a range of strategic and operational education support matters.
• Manage projects, initiatives and grants within the Student Life and Experience Portfolio, ensuring expectations are met on time and within budget.
