Job summary

The Australian Museum is seeking an Education Project Officer (First Nations) to contribute to teaching and program delivery and to support the ongoing development and promotion of the Museum’s education offering.

You will work with First Nations colleagues, Pasifika colleagues, scientists and partner organisations to co-design programs that reflect community priorities and support culturally informed practice, while delivering learning resources for schools and community audiences.

Job description

You will contribute to teaching and program delivery and support the ongoing development and promotion of the Museum’s education offering, as well as assisting the First Nations Education Lead, Manager, First Nations and Head of Education to develop the strategic direction for learning programs.

Key responsibilities

• As an Education Project Officer (First Na tions), you will research, design, develop, deliver and evaluate education programs and learning resources that enhance the understanding of First Nations cultures, sc ience and natural history for school, tertiary and community audiences.
• You will work closely with First Nations colleagues and communities, Pasifika co lleagues, scientists, educators and partner organisations to co-design programs and resources that reflect community priorities and support cultural ly informed practice.
• You will be paid a competitive total remuneration package of $116,832.52 - $ 128,912.31, including an annual salary of $102,936 - $113,579, plu s employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading.
