Asia Pacific Group in Australia is seeking an Education Counsellor to support international students, with a focus on the Philippines market localization. The role emphasizes building relationships, counselling students, and coordinating with partner institutions.

The candidate will manage client pipelines, process student applications, and maintain CRM records while working towards monthly targets and quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in student counselling or education consultancy (Australia).
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Multilingual capabilities including Filipino dialects are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Australian education policies and visa requirements.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Proactively seek potential clients via social media.
• Build and manage a pipeline of qualified clients.
• Counsel students by asking key questions and listening to needs for study options.
• Process applications for international students (ELICOS, VET, College, University).
• Maintain accurate records of applications in the CRM.
• Coordinate with partner institutions to follow up on applications.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Proactively seek potential client via social media
• Build and manage a pipeline of qualified clients
• Being in charge of counselling students by asking important questions, proactively listening to their needs and helping them make the most suitable decision for their study options
• Process applications for international students: ELICOS, VET, College and University (This includes course-related requests, including extension, deferrals, and cancellations.)
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of the student's application, including documents, under the CRM
• Communicate with partner institutions to inquire about or follow up with students’ application
• Attend professional training and industry event from institutions or the company
• Update and report weekly, monthly & quarterly application process to the manager
• Liaise with other colleagues to help promote our brand and company to international students

Assist in brand localization for Philippines audiences

To be successful, the applicant will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Should have adequate knowledge of the surroundings or domestic area
• Work under pressure and meet or exceed monthly targets
• Be able to work individually with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Willingness to take different opportunities, bringing an open mind to ad-hoc duties as required
• Understanding the Australian student visa system
• Understanding the admission process for English school, VET College and Universities in Australia
• Minimum 1 year of experience in student counselling or education consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of Australian education policies and visa requirements.
• Proficiency in multilingual languages such as Filipino dialects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*Prior education consultant experience of 1-2 year in Australia is required*

At least 1 year of experience in migration and education agency.
