Zusammenfassung

St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust is seeking a positive, enthusiastic Family Support Worker to help support children and families, improving attendance and overall wellbeing through collaborative work with academies and external services.

You will place the child at the centre, build trusting relationships with families, and work across academy staff to identify barriers and provide practical support. Travel between Trust academies is required; flexible working arrangements can be discussed.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in working with children, young people and vulnerable families.
• Ability to build trusting, respectful relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and how to escalate concerns.

Aufgaben

• Improve attendance for pupils, particularly those persistently or severely absent.
• Coordinate attendance-focused work with school leaders and partners.
• Develop, implement and review attendance action plans for children and families.
• Support reintegration after suspensions or other absences.
• Promote engagement in education and reduce risk of disengagement.
• Work with SENDCOs and other professionals to support additional needs.
