Job summary

CatholicCare Sydney is seeking a Part-time Case Worker for our Family Support in Schools program in South-West & Inner West Sydney. Working 1 day per week, this fixed-term role runs until 23 December 2026, with generous above-award remuneration and salary packaging options.

You will collaborate with schools, families and community partners to deliver tailored, practical support that strengthens family wellbeing and helps students overcome challenges.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Social Work qualification or equivalent.
• Experience engaging children, young people and families.
• Knowledge of NSW Child Safe Standards and relevant legislation.
• Understanding of child protection systems within a case management framework.
• Strong analytical, intervention and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify students at risk and develop tailored intervention plans with school staff.
• Build trusted relationships with families to understand needs and strengths.
• Deliver evidence-based, practical casework support.
• Provide culturally responsive support respecting diverse family circumstances.
