Job summary

The Victorian Auditor-General's Office (VAGO) invites applicants for the Manager, Editing and Production role within the Publishing team in Melbourne. • Experience in editing, publishing or content production with a strong eye for detail
• Ability to manage complex workflows, competing priorities and tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end editorial and production of VAGO reports and publications, ensuring high-quality outcomes are delivered on time.
• Provide expert editing, copyediting, proofreading and formatting advice across a diverse range of content.
• Coordinate publishing schedules, workflows and quality assurance processes, proactively managing risks and priorities.
• Partner with editors, graphic designers and engagement teams to deliver publications that are clear, accessible and visually engaging.
• Maintain and improve publishing templates, guidelines and editorial standards to support consistent, compliant and user-focused products.
• Provide coaching and resources to strengthen writing and editorial capability across VAGO.
