Job summary

Woolworths Group is seeking an Engineer for Edge, OpenShift & Linux Platforms to own the lifecycle of our core OS and container environments. You will bridge Engineering and Operations to ensure 99.9% uptime, security, and code-based consumption via IaC/GitOps at edge locations across Azure and GCP.

You will drive platform roadmaps, partner on automation tooling, own CI/CD pipelines, and translate security/compliance requirements into actionable plans while focusing on operational excellence and

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT Infrastructure or Software Engineering, with 2–3 years in a Product Environment or Technical Architecture role focusing on edge computing or container platforms.

Responsibilities

• Platform Roadmap: contribute to the Golden Path for Linux and Red Hat OpenShift deployments at the edge.
• Infrastructure as Product: ensure edge environments are consumable via Woolworths automation tooling (Terraform/Ansible/GitOps).
• DevOps Orchestration: own the CI/CD pipelines for image factory builds, automated testing, and fleet-wide patch orchestration.
• Security & Compliance: translate CIS benchmarks for Linux/Kubernetes into actionable backlogs for automated remediation.
• Operational Excellence: use monitoring tools to derive product insights and reduce operational toil.
