Job summary

Ausenco is growing and seeks a Cost Controller with EcoSys experience to join the Newcastle team, supporting cost control across mining and minerals projects. The role focuses on budgets, variance analysis, forecasting and reporting.

You'll collaborate with project managers, controls and finance, ensuring accurate cost data, vendor management, and timely commercial reporting. The ideal candidate has ERP experience and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in project cost control within engineering/ mining environments.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience using EcoSys or similar cost management systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (incl. VBA/macros).
• Experience with cost budgeting, forecasting and reporting across studies or capital projects.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist setup and maintenance of budgets, cost tracking and reporting in EcoSys.
• Develop cost breakdown structures aligned with project schedules.
• Handle day-to-day cost control activities including invoicing and cost coding.
• Prepare project cost reports, cash flow forecasts and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Controls and Finance to provide cost information.
