Job summary

Ausenco is expanding its Newcastle office and seeks a Lead Procurement Officer to establish and grow a local procurement function. You will lead a team, negotiate terms, and support EPCM projects across mining, minerals and industrial sectors.

You will partner with Engineering, Construction and Cost Control teams to drive procurement excellence, analytics, supplier evaluation and pricing reviews while mentoring team members and maturing procurement tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading procurement and contracting in EPC/EPCM environments.
• Proven ability to build high-performing procurement teams.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Newcastle's procurement function and support engineering/project teams.
• Negotiate best-value outcomes and support project execution plans.
• Manage procurement of machinery and equipment for EPCM projects.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and live project data.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Construction and Cost Control teams.
• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to create a collaborative environment.
