Job summary

City of Boroondara is seeking an Economic Development Officer - Project Supports and Grants to join our Local Economies Team in Camberwell. You will support grant programs, deliver projects and events, and help strengthen our local business community.

You will provide project support, stakeholder engagement and administrative coordination across economic development initiatives, working with businesses, trader associations and partners to drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of economic development projects, programs and events.
• Providing advice and assistance to businesses, trader associations and community stakeholders.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with local traders, businesses and industry partners.
• Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations and other business documentation.
• Managing project administration, stakeholder communications and record keeping.
• Responding to enquiries from businesses, residents and trader associations.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and team projects.
• Undertaking other duties, projects and initiatives as required to support the objectives of the Economic Development team.

About the role:

Joining our Local Economies Team, you’ll support a range of initiatives that strengthen local shopping centres, trader associations and businesses across Boroondara. Reporting to the Coordinator Economic Development, you’ll provide project support, stakeholder engagement and administrative coordination across a variety of economic development programs and initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of economic development projects, programs and events.

Providing advice and assistance to businesses, trader associations and community stakeholders.

Building and maintaining positive relationships with local traders, businesses and industry partners.

Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations and other business documentation.

Managing project administration, stakeholder communications and record keeping.

Responding to enquiries from businesses, residents and trader associations.

Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and team projects.

Undertaking other duties, projects and initiatives as required to support the objectives of the Economic Development team.

A current National Police Records Check is required. An Employee Working with Children Check may also be required.
