Job summary

Maas Group Pty Limited in Dubbo is seeking enthusiastic Earthmoving Plant Operators to join our growing team. You will operate plant safely, perform daily servicing and pre-start checks, and participate in toolbox talks while ensuring PPE is worn.

We value initiative, teamwork and a proactive approach. Applicants with a current WHS white card, a valid driving licence (truck licence preferred), and a strong team attitude will fit well.

Qualifications

• WHs white card holder required
• Current/valid driving licence
• Truck licence preferred but not essential
• Enthusiastic team member with proactive, organized approach
• Ability to follow lead hand instructions and work safely in a team

Responsibilities

• Operate plant efficiently and safely on site
• Complete daily servicing and pre-start checks on plant
• Participate in weekly toolbox talks and daily pre-start meetings
• Communicate with other operators via radio to coordinate site activities
• Ensure PPE is worn at all times and follow WHS policies
• Assist with risk assessments and site safety initiatives
• Coordinate with others to manage plant refuelling and movement

Areas of responsibility:

• Operate the plant in an efficient and safe manner
• Complete daily servicing of plant.
• Complete daily pre-start checks on plant.
• Participate in weekly toolbox talks.
• Communicate via radio with other operators to let them know of your site location.
• Coordinate with other operators to get the plant filled.
• Develop an understanding of Maas Group WHS policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all required PPE is being worn at all times whilst on site.
• Follow all instructions from leading hand.
• Hazard identification through active participation in the risk assessment process.
• Participate in daily pre-start meetings

Knowledge, experience and attributes sought:

• Ability to carry out work as instructed by leading hand.
• Hold a current WHS white card (or equivalent)
• Current driving licence
• Enthusiastic team member
• Use of initiative, pro-active and organized approach to work
• Teamwork
• Truck licence (preferred but not essential)
