Job summary

Kidz Childcare Group is offering a paid, full-time traineeship in Nowra where you’ll earn wages while completing your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. No prior childcare experience required; learn on the job from experienced educators and through a supported training pathway.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, with structured, paid study time and mentoring to help you progress toward a nationally recognised qualification. Traineeships typically run 12 to 18 months.

Qualifications

• Genuine love of working with children aged 0–5.
• Reliable, warm, patient, and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and take feedback.
• Current NSW WWCC or willingness to obtain one.
• Willingness to complete First Aid including CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis.
• Right to work in Australia and eligible for Australian Apprenticeship.
• Commitment to completing the Certificate III.

Responsibilities

• Support experienced educators to deliver a play-based, EYLF-aligned program.
• Build trusting relationships with each child and help learning through play.
• Assist with daily routines—meals, nappy changes, rest time, indoor/outdoor play.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming learning environment.
• Write observations and contribute to learning documentation.
• Communicate warmly with children, families and colleagues.
• Complete Certificate III studies with paid study time and mentoring.

The Role

This is a paid, full-time traineeship where you’ll earn a wage while you complete your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. You’ll work Monday to Friday in our centre, learning on the job from experienced educators, and study through a supported training pathway alongside your work.

You don’t need any previous childcare experience or qualifications — just a genuine love of working with children, reliability, and a willingness to learn. We’ll teach you the rest.

Traineeships typically run for 12 to 18 months and lead directly to a nationally recognised Certificate III qualification and a career in early childhood education.

What You’ll Be Doing
