Job summary

Mudgee Little Learners in NSW is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team. You will plan and implement EYLF-aligned programs, support social and cognitive development, and foster inclusive learning in a caring environment.

This full-time, permanent role requires a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved), Working with Children Check, and experience in Australian early learning settings.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and educational environment for young children. *** Please note, we are not currently offering sponsorship***

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and Implement Programs: Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Ensure Compliance and Safety: Maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant learning environment in accordance with Australian regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with Families and Colleagues: Build strong relationships with families to support each child’s learning journey and work collaboratively with other educators to enhance program delivery.
• Observation and Documentation: Conduct regular observations, assessments, and documentation of children’s progress to adapt learning experiences and communicate milestones.
• Lead and Inspire: Guide and mentor junior educators, contributing to a positive team culture that emphasizes collaboration and continual improvement.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, recognized by ACECQA (Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority).
• Clearances: Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Experience: Prior experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher, preferably within an Australian early learning setting.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
• A strong commitment to creating inclusive and culturally diverse learning environments.
• Demonstrated ability to implement innovative learning techniques that inspire curiosity and growth.
• Flexibility and adaptability in working across different age groups as needed.
