Job summary

Nido Early School is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to guide learning with a Reggio Emilia approach. You will collaborate with families and colleagues to set meaningful goals and create rich, diverse environments for children aged 3.5–5 years.

You’ll bring a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), a current Working with Children Check and First Aid, and an active teaching registration. The role offers developmental mentoring and flexible wellbeing supports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent).
  • Current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate.
  • Alignment to the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy.
  • Valid Teacher Registration.
  • Willing to obtain National Child Safety Training via Geccko before employment.

Responsibilities

  • Set learning goals with children, families and colleagues.
  • Role model educational practices for other educators, aligned with Reggio Emilia.
  • Support children to develop identity, wellbeing, confidence and world connection.
  • Design engaging learning environments sparking curiosity and wonder.
  • Work with children aged 3.5–5 years.

The role: Early Childhood Teacher

As the Early Childhood Teacher you will:

  • Set learning goals with children, families and colleagues that provide achievable challenges for every child
  • Role model educational practices for other educators, aligned with the Reggio Emilia approach
  • Support educators to enable children to develop a strong sense of identity, sense of wellbeing, confidence and their connection to the world
  • Design educational, diverse and engaging learning environments that spark curiosity and wonder
  • Work with children ages 3.5- 5 years
What you’ll bring
  • Hold a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent)
  • Have a current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate
  • Alignment to the educational philosophy of Reggio Emilia
  • Valid Teacher Registration
  • Please note: Any candidate employed from 1 April must provide a certificate confirming completion of the Federally mandated ‘National Child Safety Training’ via Geccko, or must be willing to obtain prior to employment
