Carinya Neighbourhood Children’s Centre Inc is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The role focuses on delivering EYLF-based learning, maintaining high safety standards, and supporting families within our community.

The successful applicant will hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood (ACECQA approved) or equivalent, with 3 years’ experience. A Working with Children check, first aid and child safety training are required; Bush preschool experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Early Childhood approved by ACECQA.
• Diploma or Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and care.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an Early Childhood setting.
• NESA Teacher Accreditation (if applicable).
• Working with Children check required.
• First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training up to date.

Responsabilités

• Lead by example and uphold high standards of child safety, wellbeing and professional practice.
• Deliver EYLF-aligned curriculum and meaningful learning experiences.
• Support team collaboration and reflective practice.
• Engage families and the wider community in learning.
• Work 3 days a week with Monday-Wednesday availability (full-time negotiable).

We are very excited to be able to offer an Early Childhood educator position amongst our amazing team at Carinya Neighbourhood Children’s Centre Inc.

Carinya is a long day care centre with over 40 years of experience as an Exceeding not-for-profit community-based service. We cater for children aged 0-5 years delivering meaningful experiences for the children, families, and staff.

Our child-based curriculum ensures that the children and their safety are at the forefront of our program. Carinya enjoys regular excursion into our community and has an embedded Bush preschool program (for not just our preschoolers!). Our Philosophy ensures that families are supported not just on enrolment but are at the heart of their children’s learning.

This part-time (full time negotiable) position requires a warm, passionate, experienced educator who leads by example, supports team collaboration, and upholds the highest standards of child safety, wellbeing, and professional practice in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and Child Safe Standards.

Skills and Requirements

• Available to work 3 days a week - Mon-Wed (full time negotiable)
• Bachelor of Early Childhood approved by ACECQA, Diploma or Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and care
• Minimum 3 year's experience in an Early Childhood setting
• NESA Teacher Accreditation (if applicable)
• Hold a current Working with Children check
• Hold approved Child Safety and Child protection training
• Hold approved First Aid Training, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training
• Have experience and strong knowledge with the National Quality Standards, EYLF and the Child Safe Standards
• Experience with a Bush preschool is desirable
• Have the ability to work as part of a team by listening, collaborating and reflecting on yourself and with others to maximise the learning environment
