Job summary

Sheldon College in Redland City, Queensland, is seeking early learning educators to support individualized care programs for children in a group setting. You will supervise, interact, set up activities, and foster a welcoming atmosphere at our ELC facilities.

You will play a key role in child safety, align practices with legislation and the College’s wellbeing framework, and have a full-time start.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
• Current First Aid certification.
• ACECQA-approved Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management Training.
• Ability to create a safe, secure learning environment respecting individual differences.

Responsibilities

The Role

We are currently seeking early learning educators who will assist in implementing a care program catering to the individual needs of each child within a group setting.

Primary duties include supervising and interacting with the children, setting up activities, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all at our ELC facilities.

This role includes a strong responsibility for child safety and wellbeing, ensuring all practices align with legislative requirements and the College’s Child Safety and Wellbeing framework.

About you

• Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent); or
• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
• Current Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting certificate
• Current ACECQA-approved Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management Training
• Ability to create a safe, secure learning environment where individual differences are respected and valued
• Strong team orientation with the willingness to contribute and collaborate
• Ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues, parents and the wider community
• Demonstrated professional communication skills
• High standards of personal integrity and professionalism

• Hold or be able to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

• Completion of Child Safety Training in accordance with Child Safe Standards (e.g. CHCPRT025 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain upon commencement
