The Hills Shire Council is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to supervise children, implement play-based programs, and partner with families to support safety and wellbeing. This permanent part-time role is grounded in the National Quality Framework and EYLF, with a focus on building trusting relationships.

You will hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, First Aid and CPR, CHCPRT025, NSW Working with Children Check, and a Class C NSW Driver's Licence.

• Deliver play-based learning programs aligned with NQF and EYLF V.2 responsive to children's interests.

What does this role look like

• Actively supervise children and ensure their wellbeing
• Develop and implement activities consistent with the national quality framework, collaborating with families, children, and staff to exceed National Quality Standards.
• Maintain safety standards, act as a first aid officer when needed.
• Create an environment where children feel emotionally secure, protected, and confident expressing themselves, knowing their voices are valued.
• Deliver play-based learning programs aligned with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V.2) that are responsive to children’s interests, strengths, and developmental needs.
• Actively building trusting, respectful, and transparent partnerships with families, recognising them as key contributors to their child’s safety, learning, and development.
• Always modelling professional conduct and taking responsibility for upholding child safe policies, procedures, and ethical practice.

What are we seeking

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding and maintaining child safety and ethical professional practice, and hold:

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
• Current First Aid - Education and Care Setting and CPR
• Child Protection training certificate (CHCPRT025)
• A valid NSW Working with Children Check
• A Drivers Licence (Class C) - NSW
