Job summary

Northcott is hiring in Australia to support the NDIS Early Childhood Approach across NSW, partnering with families to help children reach their full potential through planning and support. You will work with a multidisciplinary team in a flexible mix of office, community, and home settings.

The role involves interpreting developmental assessments, coordinating referrals, and connecting families to NDIA pathways, focusing on accessibility and wellbeing.

About You

• Support families through a child and family-centred approach, ensuring children receive the appropriate interventions based on best practice evidence.
• Use my diploma or higher qualifications in Early Childhood, Allied Health, Social Work, or a related field to support evidence-based decision-making.
• Complete functional assessments for children with developmental concerns or disabilities, determining their needs and ensuring timely referrals to appropriate support pathways.
• Connect families to community services and mainstream programs to enhance their social participation and access to essential services.
• Guide families through NDIS plan reassessments, gathering evidence, assisting with goal development, and ensuring the right support is in place.
• Utilise the NDIS plan to support children and their families with improved choice, control, social participation, and overall quality of life.

The NDIS Partners in the Community Program (PITC) supports the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to be implemented locally.

As an NDIA partner, Northcott will deliver the NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service to local communities in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, North Sydney, and Western Sydney. The EC approach supports activities that improve the independence and social participation of children aged 0-9 with developmental delay and/or disability.
