Job summary

Our Lady Queen of Peace School in Adelaide is seeking a dynamic OSHC Director to lead the Outside School Hours Care program, ensuring safety, wellbeing and development of children in before- and after-school care. You will inspire creativity, provide exceptional care and foster relationships with families and staff.

You will oversee operations, mentor educators and ensure compliance with NQS and WHS. This permanent role offers 35 hours per week across 46 weeks per year within a Catholic school

Qualifications

• Requires strong leadership and ability to mentor a team of educators.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential.
• Experience in OSHC or similar programs is preferred, including program planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the OSHC program.
• Develop, implement and evaluate high-quality programs aligned with School Age Care Framework.
• Lead, support and mentor a team of educators.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (NQS, WHS and others).
• Develop and implement engaging programs for children.
• Build strong relationships with families and the school community.
• Manage administrative duties, including budgeting, staff rosters and records.

We are seeking a dynamic, child-centered, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as theOSHC Directorat Our Lady Queen of Peace. As the OSHC Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading our Outside School Hours Care program, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of children in both before- and after-school care. You will inspire creativity, provide exceptional care, and foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day to day operations of the OSHC program
• Develop, implement, and evaluation of high quality programs aligned with School Age Care Framework.
• Lead, support, and mentor a team of educators
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (NQS, WHS and other regulatory requirements)
• Develop and implement engaging programs for children
• Build strong relationships with families and the school community
• Manage administrative duties, including budgeting, staff rosters and record keeping.

• Experience in managing OSHC or similar programs (preferred) including program planning, multitasking and catering for a range of needs

Mandatory Requirments:

• Approved ACECQA Diploma level qualification. (List of approved qualifications at: https://www.acecqa.gov.au/qualifications/nqf-approved)
• Approved Responding to Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certificate
• First Aid Certificate – HLTAID012Provide first aid in an education and care setting
• Current acceptable Department of Human Services (DHS) Working With Children Check (WWCC)
