Job summary

people2people in Sydney is seeking an early-career Credit Controller to join a growing finance team. This role covers end-to-end AR and credit, offering exposure to collections, customer account management, and credit assessments.

You will report to a Finance Manager and gain experience across dispute resolution and cash-flow support while building a long-term career in credit and finance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit Control or a similar finance role.
• Experience managing customer accounts and following up overdue payments.
• Solid understanding of the Accounts Receivable process.
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions.
• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Genuine interest in developing a career within Credit and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Managing collections and aged debt across a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Reviewing customer credit applications and supporting credit approval processes.
• Monitoring customer credit limits and assisting with credit risk management.
• Following up outstanding invoices and negotiating payment outcomes.
• Investigating and resolving billing and account disputes.
• Working closely with operational teams to remove barriers to payment.
• Processing account holds, releases and customer account updates.
• Maintaining accurate collection records and account information.
• Supporting broader Accounts Receivable and Credit activities as required.
