Catholic Education Office Diocese of Bathurst – Kelso NSW is seeking an EALD Teacher to support St John's CPS, Dubbo. This role focuses on targeted English language instruction for K-6 students from diverse backgrounds, with data-driven planning and collaboration with school staff.

The position is a permanent part-time 0.80 FTE, commencing 28 January 2027, requiring NSW teaching accreditation and a commitment to Catholic education. A supportive, inclusive learning environment is emphasised.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current, evidence-based EALD pedagogy and English language learning approaches.
• Ability to assess English proficiency and use data to inform teaching and report on student progress.
• Capacity to design differentiated EALD programs and personalised learning plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted English language instruction across listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• Assess and monitor English proficiency using EALD frameworks.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to embed EALD strategies across the curriculum.
• Maintain records, reports and census data.
• Engage with families and community partners to support student learning and wellbeing.
