The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented DevOps software engineer to support the world‑class E‑7A Wedgetail airborne surveillance and communications platform. The role is based in either Brisbane or Williamtown. As part of the Mission Systems DevOps team, you will be a key member supporting the code build, code deployment and code development environment maintenance of state‑of‑the‑art airborne Mission Systems software.

Responsibilities

• Enhance software development environments to improve the build and deployment process and troubleshoot issues with technical experience and expertise.
• Ensure systems and processes meet security, business and customer needs. Support developers and testers with good practice.
• Work as part of a team contributing to security planning and implementation in the software development environment and production systems.
• Support the build and deployment of airborne Mission Systems software.

Experience / Qualifications

• Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience in software and DevOps. (RPEQ & /or CPEng desirable).
• Prior experience in the IT industry where you gained system admin skills and have worked with various software development and configuration management tools is desirable.
• Windows and Linux experience, including virtualisation and networking knowledge, is an advantage.
